Butterflies of Ireland - Comma

Comma - A rare migrant visitor to Ireland, typically observed during july and august in sheltered areas by hedgerows and woodland edges. The majority of sightings are in coastal regions of the south and east. Commas are bright orange in colour with dark wing spots. Easily identified by their often rather ragged appearance and a white c shape on their underside.
